For that extra bit of protection on the beach try this Outwell Miami beach tent for size. It covers an area of 4 square metres and is easy to pitch. The poles are sturdy fibregalss Durawrap and there are 4 guy lines to hold the tent in the event of a sea breeze. Providing some UV protection this tent is more about wind shelter and storage - or somewhere nice to sit and picnic. The Vango Amazon 800 is the scaled up version of the popular Amazon 600 family tent. The main difference here is the wider main tent ( 5.1m verses 4.2m ) and additional sleeping accomodation for up to 8 people. Take note, 5.1 metres wide is massive, about as wide as a double garage, so make sure your favourite campsites will allow that size of tent. The living area is equally large with plenty of space for food preparation and dining indoors. The veranda front door and two canopied side doors allow lots of light into the tent. The Outwell Idaho is a new model for the 2008 family tent range. The Idaho sits within Outwell’s Premium range and has more spacious living accomodation thanks to the new Outwell Space Frame System . It’s available in 2 sizes, L and XL for 6 and 8 man capacities and has all the usual Outwell bells and whistles. We found some small online discounts for the Idano XL but expect to pay around £400 or just less for the XL model and around £360 for the L size.
