Outwell Indian Lake Tepee
March 23, 2009 – 5:41 pmWhen you spot this tent in a campsite this summer, it is certain to be the most striking tent you’ll see there. Just the height of the tent makes it stand out from the crowd as well as its design. Whether the style will prove attractive to Outwell’s typical customer remains to be seen.

Description: Tepee tents seem to be the new trend for 2009. There are new smaller tepee tents released by Vango and aimed at the Fun and Festival markets while this is a more substantial affair aimed at the upmarket end of the family camping audience. It’s certainly a brave step by the Danish tent maker. Personally I’m not a fan, but then my taste is not typical. The tent is heavier than you might think due to the Airtech PolyCotton used to construct it rather than the usual polyester. This is supposed to help keep the interior cooler in hot weather. It sports all the usual Outwell bells and whistles like luminous pre-attached guy ropes and plenty of internal storage pockets. It’s not a cheap tent though with a recommended retail price over £800 but retailing in plenty of places at around £650.
