The poles are sturdy fibregalss Durawrap and there are 4 guy lines to hold the tent in the event of a sea breeze. Providing some UV protection this tent is more about wind shelter and storage – or somewhere nice to sit and picnic. As it’s made from Outtex 3000 it’s also waterproof to an extent but remember there are just 2 sides don’t expect to stay totally dry in a downpour
