The Outwell Vermont is one of the current 2011 Outwell family tent range. The Vermont belongs to Outwell’s Premium range, a selection of tents that sit slightly lower in price than Outwell’s more luxury models. The lower price point is achieved through the use of different materials rather than any compromise in quality . The Vermont is available in 2 sizes, L and XL for 6 or 8 people and also has the option of a side extenstion or side awning. List prices for the L and XL are £850 and £950 but most retailers will offer discounted deals that include extras such as footprint groundsheets or an Outwell carpet. These represent great value for one of Outwell’s most popular tents and one that provides a great layout and spacious interior for a family break. A top quality family tent at a very fair price.

Description: The Outwell Vermont tents have been available for a few seasons now and the particular layout of this model is, we think, one of the best amongst those offered by Outwell. Perhaps it’s a shame that the same layout is not available in the more expensive Outwell tent ranges. For families of 4 or more people this tent has lots of space, including a wardrobe area and seperate bedrooms. The outer (we won’t call it a flysheet as the tent is not double-layer throughout) is Outtex 5000 which is very weather resistant but doesn’t have the same cooling advantages as Outwell’s Outtex Airtech polycotton material. There are 2 or 3 inner bedrooms, each with standing head height, a central living room space and a front porch/eating area that can be opened up as required. The Vermont can also be used with a side extension for extra room or with the optional side awning. There are wide doors on 3 sides which give plenty of options for flow-through ventilation.
